Paralysis and Brain Injuries

At times, car accidents, medical malpractice, defective products and other negligent and careless acts can cause very serious consequences, including paralysis and brain injuries. People who suffer memory problems, difficulty concentrating, headaches, a change in personality, or difficulty doing school work or job tasks following an injury may have suffered a brain injury. People who are unable to move part of their body after an accident may have suffered temporary or permanent paralysis. Under Wisconsin law, you may be entitled to be paid for:

• Past and future medical bills for treatment of your injuries.
• Out of pocket expenses related to the injury including prescriptions, co-pays, deductibles, over-the-counter medications like Advil® or Tylenol®, braces, hot or cold packs, etc.
• Your mileage to and from your health care appointments.
• Your lost wages (both past lost wages and wages you will lose in the future because of disabilities or the need to seek medical care).
• Your past and future pain and suffering, disability, and/or disfigurement.
