Our We Can Help Initiative
At Richie, Wickstrom & Wachs, we are committed to helping improve the communities in where we live and work. In addition to the volunteer work that each of us does on our own, we developed the We Can Help initiative. As part of this initiative, we must work together at least once a month to make a difference in our communities. Recent examples of our projects include:
Donating of work/gardening gloves and biodegradable garbage bags to be used by volunteers at the City of Eau Claire's Amazing Clean Up Event
Supporting and volunteering to work at Feed My People Food Bank's Empty Bowls fundraising event
Donating supplies to kindergarten classrooms in Eau Claire area schools to replenish Kleenex, anti-bacterial wipes, and hand sanitizers
Volunteering to work at the Eau Claire Ragtime Festival
Baking home-cooked goods for the Beacon House's Children's Christmas Party
Donating non-perishable food items to the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire's food drive for families in need during the holiday season

Our Eco Team Initiative
The attorneys at our Eau Claire law firm are dedicated to changing their lifestyles to protect the environment and preserve resources. That's why we created a firm-wide Eco Team initiative. As team members, we all are committed to making at least one lifestyle change a month to make ourselves more eco-friendly. Eco Team changes we have made over the past few months include:
Walking, not driving to the farmer's market, stores, and restaurants in the area
Watering our home's lawns and gardens with eco-friendly practices including self watering containers, mulching, setting sprinklers to turn off after soaking ground with only one inch of water
Adding plants to our homes and office to reduce unhealthy pollutants and airborne bacteria
Recycling, selling, and donating unwanted items
Using eco-friendly cleaning products
Reducing water consumption by turning off the faucet when brushing teeth or washing hands and taking only five minute showers
Recycling wrapping paper and reusing bags for Christmas gifts
Avoiding waste over the holidays by using only reusable dishes and flatware when entertaining
Eliminating unwanted junk mail and catalogs by canceling subscriptions
Using recycled paper products and switching to cloth when possible
Using cloth bags for shopping and reusable containers for leftovers at restaurants
Recycling paper, glass, cans, cardboard, plastic, CDs, etc.
Composting coffee grounds, filters, tea bags, fruit, and vegetable scraps
